VAGCOM - DTC 17536 - System Too Lean ?!?

After autocrossing this weekend, the Check Engine Light came on so I checked it out and saw the following code:

17536 - Fuel Trim: Bank 1 (Mult): System too Lean
35-00 - -

I tried looking for info on the RB CD, but couldn't find anything (maybe I'm not looking for the right thing?).

Anyone have any ideas?

Possibly your MAF sensor is having a problem.

Anyway to check that? I'm new at this VAGCOM stuff.

I don't know. You can contact Uwe, though, with VAG.COM and he should be able to tell you.

You can also join their mailing list and post a question to that group.

I had this problem... for me it was a bad MAF

To troubleshoot I followed these instructions from the VAG-COM eGroup on yahoo:

I hope you're still under warranty because a new MAF runs close to $400.
