Service indicator

I just turned 3K miles on my 225, and the "service in 200 miles" is lit up on my center console when I start the car. I thought the first service wasn't until 5K miles. Is this right? Am I missing something?

What model year? I doubt 3200 miles is a service checkpoint though.

Interestingly, they've bumped the service interval to 10,000 on 2002 models.

It could have been set improperly during the dealer prep, or the cluster is off somewhere.

my 02 225CQ service indicator thinks that the first service is at 3500mi!
hm.. need to talk to dealership, I guess

The service indicators are whacked...

I'm not sure why your first service indicator is going off, but when you reset the indicator it defaults to I believe every 7500 miles; don't ask me why when the intervals for '01 are 5K, 10K and every 10K after... perhaps to give you 2500 miles advance notice so you can get a service appointment?
