Problems with APR chips?
I am waiting for the local APR shop here in Northern Virginia to get a chip in for my 2002 225C. They tell me there have been problems with several recent APR chips they have installed, and they are waiting for APR to send them fully tested, "known good" chips before installing another one.
Anyone heard more about this problem with APR products? I'm a little wary now of a company with quality control in its production facility that poor. How does it work? While APR develops the software for ECU chip, I assume they farm out the chip manufacture to a custom chip fab. Is that where the problem lies?
Thanks,
