Default Ok..installed the BMC CDA intake today.....a few thoughts and questions

Went in nice and easy,
I got to thinking, would it be aestectically better to remove the entire funnel end fromm the MAF side of the airbox and then place the MAF directly to the end of the CDA?......comments please.
Haven't routed the aluminum dryer hose to the front grill yet, I would like a better soulution,
I don't mind trimming sheetmetal too much, but surely there's a smart type out there who may have fabricated this using a silicone tube or maybe even a rigid PVC pipe with connectors to make the bends, Once again comments welcome.
As for performance, Installed it, did throttle adaptation, and drove it...HARD!
Nice bassy grumble from beneath the hood, let off the gas under load and Really hear the DV gasp.
Power is definately there even in 82 degree weather like I have here at 5pm. A couple of HP for sure, if not its a great placebo effect ;-)

Default Might have a solution..

The link below will bring you to a store called Pegasus racing that sells both air inlets and air ducting hose... They claim their air inlet ducts have been wind tunnel tested and cad designed.. As for the ducting you have a choice between neoprene and silicone, but in your situation I think the neoprene will be just fine.. Hope this works..

Pegasus Racing

Default No problem.. Is this what you were looking for?

I posted the picture of the catalog because when I was searching their website I didn't see any pictures of their merchandise...

Default Yeah, Thinking I can make a better effort of inducting air into the system

And with their selections of ducts and 3" hose I might be in luck.
Iam not trying to invent the wheel but it just seems that a better looking and functioning solution can be arrived by spending a few bucks and a couple of hours.
