Did custom "Darintake" style intake today and descreened MAF
Car was messed up before due to bad vac hose so my frame of reference to judge performance gain is off. It does pull like a pit bull on crack, but that's just the allroad way. Others have measured modest air flow gains via MAF readings by doing same intake. Throttle response feels really good right now. I might post pics later.

So you have the S-Flo with a Darintake hole, right? I did a S-flo like custom intake with K&N
cone and a custom bent 3" tube from a local muffler shop. Basically the same thing.
Just so I have the lingo right: Is the Darintake just the hole or the hole with the DIY cone-in-box intake?

Darintake instructions
found via a search...it will be similar for the allroad.
Where did the name come from? Anyone know? 'Darintake'?<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1189646.phtml">darintake</a></li></ul>

With just the hole in the S4, you gain 5g/s that equates to 5hp
We don't feel the ITG filter is really all that. Some have had better results with even larger K&N cone filters (and since the allroad airbox is larger you can probably fit a larger filter in place.
However if you are going to actually offroad your allroad, then cutting a hole into the bottom of your airbox may not be the greatest idea.
