Default Here is one solution...

I hardwired the unit and ran the power cord up the left column and under the headliner. Wasn't too hard to do.

Default It depends on if you have the old or new casing

With the old casing you can hide it behind the rear view mirror. That's what I did

Default Re: Valentine one question?

My V-1 is mounted on the windshield directly below the rear view mirror, using the suction cups. It's hardwired into the dome light assembly. Works great!

Default There's a pretty way and an ugly way. Even I could handle the ugly way

Basically plug into an unused fuse (vary between coupe & roadster). Place the remote unit somewhere in front of the info console... I chose lower left corner.

I can't recall which fuse I used.

Default If you were the equivalent of Jeff Bipes, I'd say yes, but since you have to ask I'm not sure

I've ventured to do this stuff before and it worked just fine. Took me awhile to do it though and I probably did a crappy job.

Head down to your local Radio Shack and see if the guy there can help you pick out the right things.

Basically, you need a paddle (thin piece of copper that slips into an open fuse recepticle) attached to a wire, an in-wire fuse, more wire up to the detector. I've probably simplified it or bastardized this... Jeff? help?

Electricity doesn't have to be intimidating as long as you practice on someone else's car. ;-)
