Default Wheel Spacers

I'm running 18 x 8.5 LMs in the summer and 16 x 7.5 Radons for the winter and track events.

I'm thinking 8mm up front and 15mm in the rear.
How do you determine the right application for these different size wheels?

Default You're going to have to do some measuring......

Put a straitedge against the tire, extending up to the wheel arch. Move out 8/15/25mm to see what application is going to fit correctly without fender interference and to get the look you want. Your offsets may be different with these two rims. I'd use the one that pushes out the most (probably the LM's) for your measuring.
Remember, the 8mm spacers come in hubcentric and Non-hubcentric. Make sure you get the hubcentric and buy from a reputable supplier (like strat or ecstuning) who knows what you're looking for and can supply the correct length and type bolts. There are two types and your wheels will determine which you need. Ball seat (OEM audi) and conical (used on a lot of wheels). Measure the current bolts used for these wheels and add the MM spacing to get the length needed. Here's some pics of my spacer install. The 25's are a different style and first bolt to the hub, then the wheel bolts to them. Picture above is 15mm set.

Steve's Spacer Install

Default I've done some of the math . . .

If you stay w/ the stock offset of 32, each inch of wider wheel than stock will extend the rim 1/2 inch on both sides (inside and out). I.e., an 8.5" wheel will stick out 1/2" more than a 7.5". If you are satisfied w/ the 8.5"'s relationship w/ the fender, you will need to add a 1/2" spacer w/ your 7.5" wheel to get back to the same place (assuming the same offset). 1/2" is about 12mm. If the offset is greater than stock (e.g. 35) the rim will be inward by the difference so you could add the offset difference to that 12mm. Just the reverse if the offset is less than stock.

Do I have this right, guys?
