Looking for America - Day 3
Well, I've made it to Lost Wages! I'm actually up a couple hundred buck. This is VERY unusual for me because I usually figure on paying about $400 per comp'd meal. But there is still another full day of gambling for me to lose it :-)
The ride from LA to Vegas was fun. A little on the cool side. I was hoping to drive the whole trip with the wind in my hair and a smile on my face. Got to spend part of the time at 100MPH. It amazes me how well the TT handles at speed. I cant wait for the wide open spaces of Texas.
I'm staying at a place called Sunset Station which is way off the strip. It's been voted the best local Casino for the last two years. I also ate at a restaraunt called "The Tillerman". This is the third time I've eaten there and I think the food is at least 3 and a half stars. Great wine list (Brad!).
I'll be online for a half hour or so. Next stop is at the magnet store to pick up a plate for GalanTTE.
Tomorrow morning I plan on driving from LV to Scottsdale. Till then this is your humble reporter signing off from the road.
