Default 19" wheels ?

Didn't get any response when I asked this last Friday, so I'll try again. Anyone using 19" wheels on their TT, any pros or cons? I have some i got last week from Tirerack, waiting on some tires from my local Discount tires, hope I'm not making a mistake.

Default Hope you drive on glass smooth roads everywhere you go.

If not expect to be either replacing the wheels or constantly getting them repaired. Also expect a very harsh ride.

Default I have em now...

and the ride is NOT that much worse compared to the stock 17's with a 1.5" drop. The ride is a bit more harsh compared to the 17's, but I feel that you loose the ride comfort when you lower the car. I used to run 18's and the difference between 18 and 19 is nearly nothing IMO.

Rembmer the TT is a bit harsh to begin with, so like Larry said..if you want comfort...this is not the way to go...stick to stock ride height and the 17's.

Oh, i live drive in the midwest as well...which is known to have crappy roads...no problems yet...just be careful.

watch road edging when you pull over. Not much sidewall makes damage easy.

Default I have 19" BBS LM's.

I love the wheels. They make a huge difference in appearance, and ride. Obviously the ride is harder on 35 series Pirellis, but the cornering, with a combo of H&R coilovers in second to none. Also, the 19" LM's are actually lighter than the stock 17" polished 5 spokes, which is incredible. I didn't notice a difference/loss in power thru the gears either because of this. On the topic of road damage, I guess it all depends on where you live, and how you drive. I've had my TT in NYC a couple of times, and I just drive careful, and avoid the monster potholes. No complaints so far, besides the attention that my car gets. Alot of times I have people around my car when it's parked, and sometimes I make the alarm go off when I get close, so I don't have to answer silly questions. Anyways, what wheels did you get?

They are something Tirerack just started selling Sport Edition Tekno. Basic 5 spoke with some bolts at the ends of the spokes to simulate 2-piece. I was assuming I would add some weight but plan to weigh the 19" wheel/tire combos versus the stockers when I change them.
