More MAC help :)

Thanks for viewing. I'm very new to this Mac thing

I have OSX 10.0 and it seems as though nothing I download works unless I have 10.1. I searched APPLE and they said 10.1 is not available for download. What does that mean? Does it mean I have to buy OSX again?

When did you buy 10?

10.1 was an upgrade purchase. 10.2 just came out this past week, and yes, you have to buy that as well. I bought a copy on www.microwarehouse.com for $129 (standard price) but it has a $30 mail in rebate.

Bottom line, 10.0 is very buggy, slow, and lots of stuff doesn't run on it. Definately go pick up a copy of 10.2

I wouldn't recommend OS 10.0...

It was still very basic and lots of things didn't work with it. The only way to use some software was going back to OS 9.2. OS10.1 was a big improvement. OS 10.2 (Jaguar) adds more convenience still. I guess you must have bought 10.0 many months ago and finally decided to give it a try. I had the same situation, trying 10.0 just for a while, but ended buying 10.1 (and downloading the updates -- now up to 10.1.5) and already ordered 10.2.

Don't bother with 10.0 or 10.1 - get 10.2 (Jaguar)

If you bought your Mac after a certain date (check the Apple site) you get 10.2 for free. It is the BEST OS around without question. Don't let 10.0 fool you. It was released too early and is buggy. And why pay for 10.1 when 10.2 is released. 10.2 ROCKS! You will never want to see a Windblows machine again.<ul><li><a href="http://www.apple.com/macosx/">Jaguar</a></li></ul>
