If I don't go coilovers, what's the best way to go? Pics? I had Bilstein/Eibach on my A4

and it was a decent setup

...I'm just not sure of how much I want to spend on suspension.

I want to get it down about 1.5 to 2 inches.

Any pics of some non-coilover suspension setups showing ride height? TIA.

The Bilstein/Eibach combo is widely used and well liked on the TT..
The 1.5-2.0 inch drop you would like is not provided with this combo however. You'll get more like 1.0 inch. The TT has about 3.5 inches of compression travel available. You can only give up so much of this to lowering before constant bottoming ruins both ride and handling. The shorter shock absorber/strut body and shaft used with most coilovers has the effect of increasing compression travel. This permits drops greater than the 1.0-1.25 available with most spring/shock setups. The Bilstein sport has a shortened shaft (but not "body") and this helps some. But to get 1.5 to 2.0, coilovers are pretty much your only choice.

Would I need camber plates for a 1 to 1.25" drop?
