installed my ipod and blitzsafe adapter over the weekend. very easy. when using the ipod now,

it seems like i have to turn the volume up more than i had to with the CD changer. before i could turn the stereo up to 10, now it seems like i have to turn it up to 15 for the same sound. shouldnt the volume output be the same?

all depends on the adapter. The ice-link isn't that bad...not a 1-1 match, but

definitely not as bad as your difference. I think all adapters are different and depends on how they set it up.

the volume problem with MP3 players is that they are at different *voltage* out than regular line...

level devices, like CD changers, tuners, DVD, etc.

This is why I pre-amp my device.

with my ipod, I have it turned almost all the way up to equal the same volume that the radio outputs

if that makes sense. i also use the blitzsafe.

this is a blitzsafe adapter plugged into the CD changer connector.

What Jeff said, the iPod's Line-Out isn't a line out.

If it uses the headphone connection, you canusually compensate with the iPod volume. I am still using a tape adapter (haven't found an adapter that does exactly what I want. :^) ) & generally have the iPod turned all the way up.
