how much should one ask for a mint Misano Red 2002 ALMS TT (not a for sale post)

a friend of mine is thinking of selling his 2002 ALMS TT (ltd edition) 21k miles mint condition original owner car that has seen nothing but immaculate care. It is red with silver leather interior, 225hp model with 6-speed manual transmission, 18" RS4 style wheels. He will most likely put the car on e-bay but would like to get an idea of a fair price to ask in local ads.

I came close to buying the silver model last summer

instead of the 03 coupe I bought. Similar miles, in great shape. I think it was $25.5k to $26.5K CPO. Stock though. The red inserts in the seats bugged me, so I didn't get it.

thanks, yea this one is red with silver seats. more of a lovable combo to all

the avus silver w/ red interior is nice but it is something that not many people are fond of. with only 500 made I would think the car would fetch a premium over other TT's with similar options. I will pass the word on to my friend, he simply stated "I'll entertain offers" so maybe he won't even put an asking price in the ad.

Actually the Avus silver model can fetch a better price than the Misano Red model.

What your friend should do is check private party value on Kelly blue book and on Edmunds com for his own area of the country and for the equipment and mileage on the car.

I have seen those models on eBay and often they do not fetch reserve price and are either re-listed or not sold.

The limited edition does not have the value I had hoped it would have. Audi models are not as collectable as Porsche limited editions were, apparently. Also the advent of the 3.2 V6 and DSG sort of eclipse the value of any used TT...
