There have been three special editions
1. 2000 180 Coupe Neiman Marcus catalog car.
2. ALMS (American Le Mans Series) TT coupe in special red/silver or silver/red combinations. Did they come out as a 2002 MY car or 2003?
3. 2001 225 Coupe in Amulet Red / Ebony interior. We all think our own car is a special edition.

The first 100 TTs were Nieman Marcus editions, and there were 1000 ALMS editions in 2002.
The Nieman Marcus edition was only available as a 180HP FWD Coupe painted Nimbus Gray with Amber Red interior and chrome 6 spoke wheels. <a href="http://laer.nu/tt/thumbs.php?picture=nimbusandblack1.jpg&zoom=50">He re's a picture of one next to my TT</a>.
In 2002, Audi released the ALMS Edition which was only available as a 225 quattro coupe in one of two color combinations...The <a href="http://laer.nu/autoshow/index.php?picture=audi-tt-01.jpg&directory=chicago2002%2F">Avus Silver with red interior</a> or the <a href="http://laer.nu/autoshow/index.php?picture=audi-ttalms-5.jpg&directory=detroit2002%2F">Misano Red with silver interior</a>. I beileve there were 1000 released in the U.S. and a few more in Canada. There were also several sold in Spain called the S-Line which closely resemble the ALMS, but with a few extra features such as titanium colored headlight housings and lowered suspension.

Two others apart from the NM and ALMS...
...but only available in Europe:
"S-Line", basically identical to ALMS, but for european (or maybe only german) sales.
"Le Mans", similar to S-Line/ALMS, limited to
100 cars and only sold in Spain. Probably the one
you're looking for (but not too different from
S-Line/ALMS either).
