My brake pad wear light came on. How many miles do I have left (i.e. how urgent is this)?

Been procrastinating on this, but I guess it is finally time to get new brakes. 118,000 miles--not bad.

Default mine too! you got 118k out of your stock brakes?!!?

haha mine have ~51k on them! I'm planning to replace pads/rotors at all four corners either this coming weekend or the following weekend.

I love my PBR ceramics. Low dust. Good stopping power for stock discs.

Default Almost

Front pads were replaced around 40K (due to squealing, not wear), so that's about 78K on the front pads. All four rotors and rear pads are still original though.

I just had my 60k service and my garage told me 3-4 weeks was about the limit, but pushing it.

Default OEM brake setup has to be one of the best I have ever had on a car

My only complaint is the dust. My front and rears wore out nearly identically (as they should if the system is design properly) at 75K. I went with Zimmerman sport rotors and Mintex pads and like them. Why not stay with the OEM padfs that gave me 75K? I'd rather change pads more frequently than have the dust grime my wheels after only a few days.
