Stereo question.....
I have the concert stereo with changer and bose. How hard is it to gewt rid of the head unit and changer and put an after marked head unit in??? also what head units work with the stereo cover without hitting it??? any help would be great, thanks!

if you want to rid of stock stereo...you'll need to pretty much turn the whole car upside down.
New wiring...new speakers...new amps...new changer...new HU. That is if you want to do it right. I personally don't see a need to do such an extensive overhaul. Lid should close over most aftermarket HUs unless you get into the ones with rediculous ***** and/or motorized screens.
There are also HU adapters that make the job easier. But I just don't see a need to go all that crazy. Get a nice amp, nice sub...change the front speakers if you REALLY have to and buy an MP3 player that can integrate with stock HU (PHAT). That is all you need.
Honestly you've got to be a lot more specific on what it is you are trying to do and if you have to ask how complicated it is to change out the stereo and the changer, you probably should let pros handle it.

I did that in my 01 coupe. Heck I even ripped the back seat out. It's a bitch but in the end you will be happy. Make sure you get good stuff though, no puttin cheap **** in a TT>.

Do you want a flipup LCD based headunit or a regular headunit?
I have an Alpine headunit without the flipup panel (CDA-9851) and it works fine and the cover closes. There are others that have used Kenwood and Pioneer headunits without issue. Pretty much, any DIN size headunit will work. I believe there are 1 or 2 Kenwood LCD headunits that allow the cover to close...
To make it all work you will need the following:
1. Metra 70-1787 harness, which can be found <a href="http://www.soundcity.com/products/31061.html">here</a>
2. Euro antenna adapter, found <a href="http://www.crutchfield.com/S-qp1DFedxYrI/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=119400&I=12040EU55">here</a>
3. 2 ground loop isolators (well, i needed 2), found <a href="http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062214&cp=&origkw=ground+loop &kw=ground+loop&parentPage=search">here</a>
4. Trim plate, which can be found <a href="http://homepage.mac.com/risowu/OSIR/TT_dtwo.html">here</a>, I have the carbon fiber trim plate, but you can also get a trim plate from crutchfield that needs a little trimming, but I can't find the link for it...
