TT service intervals... I'm getting the 'SERVICE!!' message when I start the car
how does the car determine when to give this message? Is it based off milage since it was last reset? actual vehicle milage or does it have some kind of oil quality monitor?
My last oil change was on July 6 at 25000 miles... I havn't hit 28000 yet even since then (its been sitting alot)
I wanted to wait till after TT-W

i thought it was just based on mileage...
my guess would be that your last service was done 3k "early" accoriding to the recommended interval of 10k, and the place that did the service forgot to reset the service indicator thing...
