Default H&R Springs = Neg. Camber?

I called shox.com last week and the salesman/tech I spoke with said they've found that the H&R springs cause negative camber and suggested if I went with those springs to get camber plates with them.

He suggested that I go with the koni sport/eibach combo if I wanted to avoid the camber issue.

Anyone found this to be true?

I'd rather go with the H&R springs since they're a little lower than the Eibachs. According to the site it says the H&R springs lower the car 1.3 inches in the front and 1.2 in the rear. However the Eibachs lower the car 1.1 front and rear. Is this accurate and will I even notice the difference?

Default You already have negative camber, lowering the car makes it worse

The more you lower the car the more negative camber you end up with. Their is some adjustability to dial it out but only to a certain point. Even lowering an inch with the Eibachs you'll probably want to use some sort of additional camber adjustment like kmacs or adjustable bars.
Lower the car more than an inch and you'll definitely need some additional adjustment range to keep camber in spec.

Oh and you'll probably want to upgrade the shocks at the same time. Stiffer, shorter, springs will speed up the death of your stock shocks and alot of the handling improvement you get is from uprated shocks, not the springs.

So I should get camber plates regardless of the combo I go with?

Default Yes, most people here (myself included) run half a kmac kit with eibachs

and a full kit for H&Rs or other springs that lower 1.5" to 2". You can also use the ECS or Forge adjustable tiebars to get the extra camber adjustment.

Default djgonzo, whereabouts do you live? also...

Eurotire in NJ does great work from what i hear. I plan to get a KMAC 1/2 or full kit put on when my tires need replacing.

I have H&R Springs, shocks, and DRA spacer/adapters.
