Help, does anyone know the wiring schematic for the power to the ecu

ok, "power to the ECM" starts with the battery, not likely the wiring harness>>
to the ECM "just blew up" soooo
1) does it crank?
2) have you tested the voltage with a digital VOM?
3) What was it doing when it Quit running?
4) The obvious BIG question is the battery new... most '01's need a battery by now

New battery last month also new alternator, car was running fine after
a fill-up, washed it than it started up drove about 120 yards it stalled........started back up CEL came on drove 250 yards ran fine, turned it off went inside for about 1 hour, would not restart , turns over fine , timing belt is ok 2 months ago, Vag reads my wifes beetle fine but does not make the connection to mine. Car was not driven hard previously. Have a volt meter were do I check?

more hummm new battery-did they say why new alternator? Volt check is with Key off, across >>
the + & - battery terminals directly... 12.x higher the better
Is the LCD screen on the dash look normal, or does it flicker, look dim?
You don't know your codes since won't read VAG...
