stupid ? but isn't it wolfsburg where Audi is made not Munich???

my freind tried telling me that they are from munich like BMW. And now he has me asking the ???

That is correct. The TT's are final assembled in Hungary.

The body and frame are created in the Ingolstadt and shipped to Gyor, Hungary for final assembly. Interesting fact... all of the Audi engines are built in Gyor as well. Neckarsulm is the assembly facility for all of the aluminum frame vehicles such as the S8. The Lamborguini's also have their bodies built in Neckarsulm before being shipped to Italy for final assembly.

I took a tour of the factory in Ingolstadt in January. It is trully a facinating and informative tour. Too bad they don't allow photos inside the plant, the cleanliness and attention to quality in a factory that turns out 2400 cars per day is trully amazing.
