so my car has been "floating" as of late...
very very eratic with the steering, it feels almost unstable... i noticed i need new tires , so i am off to buy new tires today and get an alignment... hopefully this solves my problem, but if not, what else are some possible causes for the car feeling so unstable? shocks?

having same issue...
Shocks/struts.
Hitting bumps makes the car sway and all that good stuff.
Is your car making any bad noises when you hit bumps? If it is, it might be your CV joints.
But I'm going to change shocks/struts and see if that helps my cause.
Local shop (for OEM equipment + alignment) wanted $1000+ for it. Well, hell, for that kind of money, I'll just spend and extra $100 and get Koni's.. that's the route I'm going.
