How important is getting alignment done?

I just had my stock springs and shocks put back on my car, and I havent had my alignment done yet. The car doesn't pull to the side at all. So my question is: do I even need to get the alignment done?

it could cost you the price of 4 new tires....

your tires can wear out early, but other things can go bad too like wheel bearings.
