Default I got some Energy Suspension motor mounts, questions...

I have the basic idea on what I have to do to install them but I just want to know what I'm getting into before I just dive in. So excuse me if this post seems a little on the redundant side, as I am just learning.

I have the sockets and torque wrench as well as most any other tool I'd need. So, I'm good on the tools side.

I'm guessing I take off the bellypan thing, and I will see the dogbone mount, I just remove that and replace the old worn out mounts with the new ones and replace... right?

I know it seems silly to ask, but I got hung up on the diverter valve install because I didn't know the hose clamps weren't re-useable... so I'm just getting all my ducks in a row.

I'll let you all know how the install goes, I'm reaaaaly thinking it shouldn't take me much longer than 30 minutes or so.

Any tips for the new guy?

Default only one more thing...

the new bushings might be difficult to get in place to tighten the bolt so it helps to have a vice or something to press them in a little to get the bolt started. Other than that, it's cake.

Default Yeah, I did... but..

I'm not really clear on why. I've read that they are prone to breaking... why on earth hasn't the design been revised?!

But yeah, thanks on the heads up!

Default FWIW, I originally only used the two...

but the round bushing was finally shot after a while, so I figured what the hell and put the round one in. So far, so good. I think that when first installed, the other two are so stiff and don't allow much side to side play, and it puts more stress on the round one and breaks it or the mount. I installed the round one after the other two had softened up a little. I've still got some slop in the driveline, and now I think it's the engine mounts, but I'm not planning on messing with those so I'll just have to live with it.
