I think I just put one end in and used heavy needle nose plyers to get the other end in.

Default Pair of pliers to get the clip back on and almost any aftermarket pad will cut the dust. I have been

thinking of switching to Hawk pads next time. Have gotten great reviews.

Default insert bottom end of the clip first

i have better luck doing that for some reason. and then slide the top one in a little then get channel locks to finish, you'll figure it out

Default there's a really easy trick to doing it, but it's damn near impossible to explain...

one of those have to see it kinda things. but you get one side barely hooked in so you can put pressure on it without it coming out and you push up on the middle while holding the other end near position and when you get it lined up just release it and it will snap into place. or you can go at it with pliers.

Default I used a clamp to hold one end in place while I inserted the other end with pliers.

This kept the clamped end from coming out and scratching the paint around it, which it kept doing otherwise and I had to keep repainting it. A real PITA until I tried the clamp and then it went in the first time without ascrathing it.
