Default New suspension and questions...

Just got the new H&R coilover kit and Forge control arms, and would like to put them on myself. I have read through a couple of the writ-ups and threads here(Thank you! they are very helpful!) but still have some questions and need your help

1. For the adjustable rear springs and front strut, do you always put them on with the highest setting and lower them later?
2. When adjusting hight, does the car need to be jacked up and wheels taken off? (a note that came with the coilover even says for some coilovers the spring needs to be compressed before adjustments?)
3. what about the control arms? do you need to jack up the car to adjust them?
4. usually how long does it take for the springs to settle before I can take the car to the shop for a 4-wheel alignment?

Thank you very much for the help!

1. Doesn't matter, though higher first is probably easier
2. no, just jacked up.
3. the alignment place would do that on the rack.
4. Ours was aligned right after install. Then realigned a month later. Because the rear control arms are so out of whack.

Wait a week before alignment... that will eliminate the double job you speak of.

Default putting on at least a couple hundred miles helps (thus, the week duration).

the driving will help to settle the springs to their resting state...from the virgin manufactured state.

the drop will be noticeable...some more than others. not sure about the H&Rs...but undoubtively will settle some.

Default Thanks! So does it make sense...

to put the camber to positive value when doing the alignment a week afterwards so when the springs completely settle the camber won't be too negative? cause I probably won't be able to put a couple hundred miles on within a week.
