Electric Steering Assist- Adjustable?
I was at the ACNA winter driving school two weekends ago north of Montreal. I mentioned to some of the other Instructors that I was disapointed that on ice and snow you cannot feel the understeer in the steering wheel of my 2003 TTcq. It is OK on the track in wet or dry (in contrast to A3 I drove on the track with no feel at all in the rain). Someone mentioned that the amount of electric power steering assist is programmable with a VAGCOM.
Anybody know if this correct? Apparently the same system is used on the new VW GTI and the feel is excellent. I have asked the local dealer to look into it but you all know how they can be!
