Anyway to tell what model ECU a car HAD?
That's right, I said "had." I traded the back-to-stock ALMS TT for a family-friendly (but still fun) 2.0T DSG Jetta pkg 3. In my haste to get it ready to sell, I replaced the APR stock-93-100 locked chip with the original and didn't note the model of ECU. I'd love to give someone here an opportunity at a good deal on the chip, but I don't know what model to tell you it is! Is that something that can be determined by the VIN or by the APR chip itself? Help! BTW, I still have the AWE in-vent boost gauge left too. At least I know which TTs the boost gauge will fit into

Look at sticker in "trunk" and find the engine code. Whoops, didn't read your post before answering, seeing as how you don't have car anymore. If you had VIN, dealer should be able to tell you engine, but year of car would pretty much disclose that also.

But... I did save all my old VAG-COM logs. I checked and sure enough the code is there.
8N0 906 018 AN. Yippee! Now to sell the chip and the boost gauge and I'm done! Ad posted on the Audiworld classifieds.
