Default MAF sensor connector - has anybody replaced this?

ECS sells these (described as "<i>5 Pin Flat Contact Housing With Helper Contact Catch For Connecting To MAF Sensor</i>") and I picked one up since the red plastic part is crumbling away on my connector. Anybody know the trick to removing the old one?

Default I think there's a tool for getting the wires out of the connector (edited) >>>

Audi problably has a generic harness repair kit. I don't know what you should use though.

*edit*
I just checked and zdmak.com has some terminal extractor tools. Search for "harness".

Default yes, I have. you can take it apart. small screwdriver to push out the existing pins, or...

get the pre-crimped wires to replaced it with.

I just popped out the red plastic part and transferred it to the old connector - takes two seconds

I used Jeff's writeup when I replaced mine. Just break the old connector apart, much easier than fiddling to release the pins. They'll go into the new one very easily.

Default ZDMAK - Electrical Tool - wire terminal extractors

Terminal Tool - The "Swiss Army Knife" of wire terminal extractors.
This tool offers the technician a handy -all in one - extractor kit that folds up and slides together into its own unique and compact storage housing. This kit is equipped with (12) factory correct extractor press bits. These press bits release DC wiring terminals from its harness that connect to ECUs, sensors, etc., found on most late model vehicles.<ul><li><a href="http://www.zdmak.com/wbstore/main.asp?action=PROD&amp;PROD=ST9025AW&amp;CTMP=1" >Wire Terminal Tool from ZDMAK</a></li></ul>
