Just did a full re-paint. Is it worthwhile to consider any form of paint protection?

This is the first re-paint in 7 years and I would love to get that new car shine to last. I would love to protect the paint form stone chips, but I suppose only a clear bra will help and I'm not too keen on the look of it. Other than chips, I would like to keep the shine and depth and reduce the potential for scratches as much as possible. What would you suggest?

1. clear bra --> not crazy about the look
2. DITEC --> not really sure how much protection this provides
3. Anything else?

Interesting, but they have no close-up pictures on their site.

Can you still make out the sheets from a couple of meters away?

Also, does anyone know how well it hold up to heat? I'm in the desert where ambient temperatures reach 55?C - unfinished metal surfaces have been measured at over 80?C.

The link you provided shows an amazing instal job. Now if only I could convince Alan to fly half way around the world for my install... at no charge. ;-)

What about DITEC or Ziebart? Worth it?

Some info on DITEC: they claim it improves impact resistance of paint by 75%

They also provide a 6-year warranty.

Still, I haven't been able to read many first hand experiences...
