is there a way to tell if the MAF is brand new or used? is the only way of testing a good maf is to

plug it into your car and log it in vagcom?

also is there a specific maf that works for amu engine or something... as you can see i have no clue about different mafs and stuffs so any helps are greatly appreciated.

Never buy a "used" MAF..........>

Unless it's a known good (logged) unit. I have about 20 of them though, none of em good, if you want to send money!....:-)
