Default having a very rough time installing oem ipod cord....please help

I was using the write up that comes up when i search, but I am a bit confused because it leaves out some information such as do you have to put the same colored wire in where you removed that color wire? or do you just put the wires in and placement does not matter? I did research and from that I did gather that ipod adapter part number 8E0 051 444 does work with the "concert" stock deck that is in my TT. Please please, any tips write ups or comments at all would be greatly appreciated. I am in my garage working on this write now and I have wires everywhere :-0 Thank you in advance!

Default i would stop now and start your research again before you damage any of the equipment. read through

the FAQ link and write up from various people and make sure that it makes sense to you. i do not have the ipod so i can't really give you any good feedback on it however if you were to install a kenwood kvt system then i can try and help. again, double check the FAQ page and read through several fotki pages before you start cutting and wiring your cable.

best wishes

Jake

Default yah i've seen a few on here with that installed... i doubt it's any harder than install my kvt syste

but then again... it's your choice. next time though i suggest read and re-read before you take the plunge. it's always nice to see the final product works knowing that you did all the works.

Default Can/will you report on the functionality of this unit? Can you select albums or artists from the

radio for example? I have an extra iPod I'd like to put in my TT but hate the idea of having the thing out in the cabin, kinf of ruins the whole integrated thing for me. TIA for any feedback.

Default the oem version is the same thing as a dension icelink / dice unit

I tried it out during my MK2 test drive... the salesman didn't even know about the dock in the glovebox and didn't really know much about ipods anyway.
