Why does my alarm button work...

...from about 40 feet away INSIDE my house, yet my lock/unlock only works up to about 8-10 feet away? I find that very odd.

hold the key fob to your chin or forehead and see if it works from farther away

seriously.... works for my dads f150 key fob

Hmm...I generally do chin for the TT....gota try the forehead...maybe it will give extra>>

yeah, i know bout that.

i just thought it was odd that one button works so much better than the others(and go figure, it's the one i never use). oh well.

i think it's a safety feature

i would assume the somewhat short range of the lock-unlock buttons is a precautionary thing so that you can't accidentally lock or unlock your car while sitting on the couch.

as for the alarm button where you may need it for an emergency has an increased output range for safety.
