Seeking clutch install advice...

Well I finally received my built engine today and I began chipping away at connecting and installing everything. I began to install by Southbend clutch and realized the tool they provided does not seem to center the disc. I could potentially center it by eye but there is a ****-ton of slop with the tool. Is this normal? is the clutch centering tool supposed to get the disc dead center?

I have searched quite a bit and haven't found any help, however, I may be missing something very obvious, or I just have the wrong tool.

Does it fit snugly into the pilot hole?...>

If so, increase the diameter of the disk centering area with wraps of tape or something. If it's sloppy in the pilot hole you definitely should source the right tool..
