Just got my Key West reservations made>>>
Going there for a couple of days after Cathy's conference in Ft Lauderdale. Leaving next Friday.
Round trip is going to cost a lot of $$$ for gas. Ouch.

Yup, even at 18mpg highway (taking the Yukon XL) >>
for two people and two weeks worth of stuff to take. Dayton -> Ft Lauderdale -> Key West -> St Augustine -> Asheville -> Dayton.

Lunch on the porch at Bagatelle. (suggest the Cuban sandwich)
A beer at Sloppy Joes
The sunset celebration at Duval Square.
Snorkling at Sombrero Key off Marathon.
A steak at the Green Turtle on Islemorada.
Take a photo at the Southermost point.
A sunset cruise on a schooner at Caroline Street wharf.
Great place We need to go back :-) Haven't been there for a couple of years.
By the way. We always towed boats down for the snorkling. About 2000 miles round trip from here pulling a ski boat. I guess I've always been crazy.

Drove my TTR from Key West to Charleston SC in one day once.
I'll never do that crap again!!! I thought my wife was going to strangle me. The trip took about 15 hours, and my radio was in safe mode the whole time. Key West can be a blast, though. Park the car when you get there and rent a scooter to get around on.

Only 15 hours? :-) First time we went down we drove all the way back nonstop too.
Two vans, two couples, six teenagers, two ski boats. One trailer tire blowout and about 19 hours later as I remember and we were home. That last 3 hours from Atlanta to Trussville, AL was tough. Never again.
