Default Fuel line relocation

Took the intake manifold off yesterday afternoon to install the Evoshield. Changed the thermostat and housing, flushed the system, and replaced the entire PCV mess. I wonder how the car ran so well with a huge split in one of the hoses.

I want to replace the fuel lines (they look worn and dried out) and relocate them to run along the fender away from the manifold but I don't understand how the lines connect to the canister on the other end. Are these more funky one time clamps? God I hate those things.

Default pretty sure on that end they are a pressure fitting>>>

as the lines are exposed to upwards of 70+ psi...

They can be shifted to run down the fender, but you will need extra hose to reach the rail...This can be done with a couple of brass barbs, hi pressure fuel line and GOOD fuel line clamps. Do not use the worm gear style....

Are the lines visibly dry or worn??? If not, you may just leave them alone.....if they are, someone with ETKA could probably tell you the parts needed....It may require replacement of the canister...but i am just not 100% sure.

The delivery line is definitely a pressure fitting. The return line looks like it is secured with a spring clamp but I'm not going to mess with it. The hose near the fuel rail under the charge pipe is about gone. I'll go the barb and extra hose route. The car has spent it's entire life in Florida and Texas and all the hoses got pretty nasty and have been replaced in the last two years except for fuel.

Off to the parts store for hose, good clamps, and some insulating mat.

Default An easier option is to simply insulate existing fuel lines.

If you do decide to replace fuel lines, you will have to deal with two of those connectors at far end. These are the same connectors that you curse when you try to change your fuel filter.

Picked up some Thermo-Shield hose and wire protection wrap, barbs, hose, and fuel line clamps. Don't want to wrap the old hose ends. They are toasted (literally). Autozone carries the Thermo-Shield so I didn't have to order it and wait.

Had to replace a fan, fan control module, and other cooling related parts last summer. It's already been in the 90's here in south Texas consistently. Don't want to turn into a rolling napalm bomb.
