Diamondite Headlight Restoration Kit
The Diamondite kit has two small foam pads (yellow and orange) and a Velcro backing plate for a handheld drill. You can get an adapter for a Porter-Cable polisher also. It has two levels of polish and a spray-on sealant. You polish as with a detail polisher, at 1800 RPM or so, using each of the pads with the appropriate polish. Then wipe clean and spray on and buff the sealant. Let the sealant cure for an hour and hit it with another spray and buff.
I did both headlights in about 30 minutes total, after masking them off and cleaning with Windex. The results were very smooth and much better than my previous wetsanding. I'm curious as to how well they'll hold up, but even doing this every 6 months or so would not be too burdensome.

Diamondite
