Installation without front clip removal is possible but you must be very nimble fingered.

Did you use the relay or just connect to stock wiring?

I used the stock wiring and locations...

I really didn't feel like taking the whole clip off just to swap out the horns so the answer is 'yes, it can be done without clip removal'. When I do a FMIC in the spring, I'll likely relocate the horns to the internal bumper assembly behind the grill.

The whole process took about 30 minutes as you'll have to do some creative (but not damaging) twisting and turning to get the stock horns out. I remounted with the stock bolts, and there was some surface rust on those bolts, but nothing that didn't come off during removal. Also, you'll be cutting the wires off of the stock horns and refitting female spade connectors.

Tools I used were:

Flat head screwdriver (grill removal)
13mm wrench (stock horn removal)
Wire cutter (wire modification)
Female Spade connectors w/shrink wrap built in (Radio Shack - $5.99)
Bic lighter (shrink wrap)
Flashlight (Sunset came faster than I thought it would)
