Foglight switch

Does anyone know if the procedure for getting the foglights to come on with the parking lights and NOT the headlights is the same for a '04 S4 and an '02 A4? I picked up my new S4 on 12/30 and the dealer won't use their VAG-COM to change it, something about it being illegal.... Help?

i have the foglight mod...

you actually had to do some cutting and soldering to make this work on the B5 S4s...

i dont believe the VAG can alter the behavior of how it is stock, also i dont know if the process to do the foglight mod on new A4/S4s as it was on the B5s....

You could only make that change on the 02 B6 car. 03,04's B6 A4/S4's can't do that anymore.

Your only option is to turn on the DRL's, then your fogs are on all the time.

i can help you with the 2002 A4...not sure about the 2004 S4 though.

Thanks for the reply! On my '02 A4 I was able to use a VAG to change the code so when I turned the headlight switch to 'parking lights' and pulled, the fogs would come on too. I guess what I'm wondering is, are the codes the same for the '04 B6? Guess I'll have to wait and see if someone tries it and posts the results, like they did for the '02... Thanks again!
