Speeding/ Drivers School

Anyone know what the Il. law is about the frequency of taking the drivers class when you get a ticket? I got a speeder last Aug, did the class thing and can't remember if you can do it once a calender year or what.

I think it varies slightly by county, but from what I remember...

If you took the TSS last August, you should be required to take the 8 hour version until a one year period has elapsed. HOWEVER, that being said, this state has the most ridiculously crappy traffic violation monitoring system on the planet. I've bent and/or broken the rules regarding supervision/TSS so many times it's not funny.

Apply for TSS again, and see what happens. I know at the very least you can do the 8 hour school (it is uber BORING) but you might even squeak into the 4 hour one again, which would be nice cause you can just pound it out online in a few hours. THere is no 8 hour online one.

It sez you can't take the 4 hour TSS if you've done it within 1 year, but the 8hr course is available.

BTW, this is a Cook County ticket, so It'll prob'ly apply to you too.

I got one last night and neither the Officer or the tkt says anything about the school..

But, since is my 1st violation ever, apparently I can get the record dropped if I opt for the supervision. Is that true?

Anyway, just like sex.. there's always a 1st time for everything.
