CA drivers: how long before any points issued from a ticket are removed by traffic school?
got my ticket in august of last year, took traffic school to delete the point from my record. just got my insurance renewal recently with raised rates, due to that ticket. called the court, and they said they submitted everything, and the point should not be there.
is DMV that freaking slow, it takes em over a year to update records? i am trying to contact them to ask, but you know what thats like.
so is this a normal time period, or should i keep calling? i want my insurance to be paid with NO ticket, like its supposed to be.

something's not right...
i thought the idea was to go to traffic school so the points are not added to your record in the first place.
i have never heard of having the points being removed once they are on the record.

yep, they're not supposed to show up period. unless for some reason he'd gone to traffic school
within 18 months of the new ticket, then going to traffic school would be a waste of money

Do you still have your traffic school diploma?
That should help immensely in getting the point(s) removed at DMV. However, the cat is already out of the bag Re: your insurance company. You know how when you're getting a rate quote, they always ask you how many accidents you've had, whether it was your fault or not, in the past 5 years? They're hoping you're going to be one of the honest ones and spill your guts to them. Fact is, they can only go back something like 39 months here in AZ for motor vehicle violations.
Now that your insurance company knows that you indeed had a citation, whether or not you're successful at getting the point removed from your DMV record, they're going to raise your rates and keep 'em there, I will bet. I think you're best option is to get the point erased then switch insurance companys after that. Just my opinion, though.

i can look, but i probably just mailed it in to the court, which received it and did what
they were supposed to.
looks like i will be making some DMV calls, and looking for a copy of my certificate.
