Coolant/Antifreeze
Two questions:
1. What type of coolant/antifreeze can I use instead of the Audi dealer ripoff <$22 gal>. They reccommend G12 A8d, and they sold me G12A8FA4, which they say is compatabile.
2. Had to put 1/2 gallon in last week, and noticed today the add coolant light came on, and it was almost empty, but cannot either see a drip or smell one, but I must be losing coolant because it is missing. Also, had the same situation as a previous poster about the temp gauge going up down in the space of moments from 97-106, and back down, which I would guess is a bad sensor.
If there is a leak in the cooling system. has anyone here had a similar problem and what should it cost to take care of.
I have a 2001 A6 2.7T, 44,000 miles Tiptronic.
