Oil Change question Lincolnpark/Chicagoland (STFA)

hey guys, gotta '01 S4... oil change time... don't mind driving, any good places you'd reccomend in my area (or chicagoland)?? - (at home i used to bring synthetic in to our local mechanic)

thanks for any input - always a good resource for a chicago "noob"

Do it yourself and take your used oil to j-lube

and drop it off. That's what I do.

it's really not that hard - (all you need is jackstands?) -- ive been contemplating this for a while

The S4 is extremely easy. Take off the plastic oil pan guard on the bottom and the drain plug and

filter are right next to eachother up front. I don't think it could be any easier.

lol...its not an oil pan guard...its a sound dampener....

it also helps with aerodynamics and lowers the engine bay temps. Plastic won't protect your oil pan.

If you don't want to DIY, ask around a few Midas shops.

I bring mine to a Midas place in Westmont, I supply the oil & filter.

Last time, He only charged me $15.00. Of course, I bring all my other vehicles there too.
