Autobahn people....GET WOOD!

heh, just thought i would remind people who are planning to have their car up on jackstands that autobahn has very strict rules that require a piece of wood under each stand to avoid damaging the pavement...Someone will probably have it but if it is convenient you may want to throw in a few pieces...

Really? isn't that kind of dangerous, wood cracks, doesn't it?

And how would you damage a pavement with a jack stand? Besides, you won't be jacking it on the track itself.

This is pretty standard paddock etiquette

And I have left marks in the asphalt from jack stands, btw.

It's always a good idea to have a few...

pieces of 5/8 or 3/4 plywood in the trunk anyway. Something about a foot square would be perfect for jackstands or for use under a jack if you are forced to use one while in the dirt.
