OMG, what an idiot - 5 hurt as driver swerves to avoid possible opossum
The crash happened about 6:30 p.m. Sunday on Central Avenue near Midlothian Turnpike in unincorporated Cook County near southwest suburban Crestwood, police said.
The driver of a 1997 Ford Explorer swerved to avoid hitting an animal on the road and lost control of his vehicle, CLTV reported. The SUV went in and out of a ditch on the side of the road, struck a minivan, rolled over several times and crashed into a Jeep Cherokee.
The driver of the Ford was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, Oak Lawn, while a woman and three youngsters in the Jeep were taken to Palos Community Hospital, Palos Heights, officials said. None of the injuries were believed to be life threatening. No one was reported hurt in the minivan.
The driver of the Explorer was ticketed for driving without a license and failure to slow down to avoid an accident, CLTV reported.
All cats ought to be run over with a steamroller.
If necessary, they should be sought out and stapled to the tarmac while the roller makes its approach.
