I'm helping out a local club member who's looking for a S4. Someone here in the KC Area is looking at it. Just curious if anyone knows the car or owner?

Owner says they are in SW Burbs...any good shop recommended to get a pre-purchase inspection?

For the money asked if the body is in good shape, the Turbo's could be replaced and still be ahead of the game. (That's the buyers logic anyway)

I should also add that if anyone knows of a good B5 S4 6 speed for sale they should drop me an email. Buyer is new to Audi's and is hooked on this car. Just trying to give a hand.

I asked him if he would be willing to do an inspection to which he agreed...

But I decided not to bother. New turbos will run you another ~$4k or so, but then there is a Tip transmission which is a ticking bomb worth about $4-5K again and so on....

Find a clean 6sp car...they go for around $10-13K nowadays easy...much better than messing with this, unless you can DIY a lot.
