Default 26K Miles... the (o) brake lite came on
Appointment with dealer for brakes...probably rears as the fronts were done at 10K due to warping.

Default I was just about to post about my brakes
I took my '01 in for an oil change and to have the brakes checked out because they've been a bit noisy lately. With 65,000 miles on them I fully expected to be paying for a complete re-do. The shop just called to say I have 70 to 75% left on them and no work is needed! And this is from a reputable German specialty shop who I trust based on past experience. Go figure.

Default How long since you last stepped on them?
WOW...front and rear? 65K....unheard of

At least half of the miles are highway to a cabin in northern Minnesota. So some weekends I step on them maybe 15 times.

May be time for new brake fluid; it supposed to be replaced biannually.
