Anyone catch the article in this month's C&D on diesels?
And a quoted 0-60 in 6.2 seconds for the V10 TDI Touareg and 24 mpg?! Tempting!
Also noticed that Touareg TDI finally is up on www.kbb.com for pricing. It really makes you wonder what a TDI Pike's Peak will be going for...

Touareg TDI pricing for US

This engine shares parts only a few parts with the R5 that was derived from the VR6, and uses the latest in clean diesel technology. The other Touareg engines are borrowed from existing designs, with the 3.2 V6 being the latest VR6, and the 4.2 V8 being the same engine as in our beloved allroad 4.2. Since these other engines have long been developed, they don't cost nearly as much to produce.
Actually, at $60,000, we're getting off cheap. In England, the V10 model runs at £65,000, which converts to about $123,000 at today's exchange rate. $102,000 if you remove the VAT.
