Brake Pads
Got my 2.5TDI back from it's 20k mile service today. It needed front and back brake pads. To my amazement, the front pads were €237, that's about $296. I checked with another Audi dealer here in Ireland and they quoted the same price. Are they in that range in the US - anyone any idea why they're so expensive? I wouldn't mind so much if the brakes were good.
I also have a 1996 Porsche 911 and the front pads are about half the price of the Allroad.

Re: If yours has the HP-2 caliper (pre-'03), it has 4 pads per caliper.
I don't think it has the double pads. The dealer I called to check the price said that the single pads were €237 and the double pads were around €180. Doesn't make sense either.
