Milltek Exhaust

Hey Guys,

I'm thinking about getting a Milltek for my AR. Can anyone post any pics? Also, has anyone dynoed a Milltek on a stock AR to see what the HP and TQ improvements are?

Couldn't really find much in the archives with respect to my specific questions.

You'll find more in the A6 forum. Rode in an A6 with Milltek last week and....

loved it! Ming 2.7T's car. Nice rumble at idle, subtle growl as you accelerate, and no resonance. At highway cruising speeds it was as quiet as stock inside the car. And all this on a car with K04 turbos and slick downpipes too!

Wish I could justify the $$ to my wife.

It's a lot of money, but the beauty is that you could sell it to someone and recover at least half of the cash if you get rid of the car.

Just put Milltek on my '03 ar, tip

Instal was easy. Hardest part was getting old bolts loose where original exhaust comes off the cats. Fitament was fine with only minor tweaks to get things even and lined up. The note is nice. The only time I really notice it at speed would be if you're cruising at 45mph in fifth and go to accelerate without downshifting - then the note is deeper and enters the cabin. Otherwise, it sounds very nice - aggressive without the obnoxious loudness of other cars you hear out there on the road. I have not dynoed it but the car seems to accelerate a bit quicker and seems a bit quicker to rev when down-shifting. I'm happy with it.
