What temp thermostat is everyone running in their 12V?

What temp thermostat is everyone running in their 12V?
I'm thinking about putting the coldest (80 degree) in at my next T-belt change. I think the dealer put the highest temp (92?) last time. I think there's also an 87 degree version.

doesnt matter what climate you live in. If you're looking for...
best "thermal efficiency" and engine performance you need an 87C/188.6F thermostat. All 4 stroke engines run best at/near 190F. 190-195F is a good range with 193.5 being dead-nuts PERFECT! A 90C 'stat would be ideal as it translates to 194F.
Run a cooler thermostat and you make more varnish, sludge and oil solids thru-out the crankcase ventilation system and gunk-up the breather hoses, throttle body and intake manifold. You also re-aspirate those solids/gases back thru the combustion chambers for re-burning. Definate octane reducer!
I'd prefer to run a 90C/194F thermostat over any other if I could find one. Even in July/Aug when the temps are 100F+ outside. But I cant find any such item. 92C 'stat is jus a wee bit too hot for my liking.

Hmm, good to know, I ran a 80C, but it was only in the summer
I found that my engine would increase past the halfway mark while city driving and in traffic.
I also switched in the low temp fan switch, but I noticed that when I took the 80c out in the fall and left the fan switch in I got the best performance/operating temperature overall.

checker auto got prestone 87/89/92 for 10v, I'm running 89

I just dont have the cajones to run domestic thermostats...
I've seen FAR too many early/premature failures and on our cars they're just too tough to get to. If my car had easy t-stat access like most other cars I'd do one in a heartbeat.

16 bucks for a behr 87 or 80c
I have always just seen the standard 87c thermo usually for sale but i know most high end cars have a choice depending on where you live.
behr makes a thermo for audi and behr always makes quality goods.
